  1. No loaded firearms in lodge or while riding in vehicles.
  2. Illegal drugs are not allowed on our properties under any circumstances.
  3. Consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be in strict moderation and no excessive drinking will be allowed. Anyone who appears to not have full use of their mental and/or physical faculties due to the consumption of alcohol and/or drugs will not be allowed to participate in any hunting or shooting activities. This decision will be at the sole discretion of Ranch management.
  4. Texas Parks and Wildlife laws and regulations are strictly enforced.
  5. Ranch management controls which animals are harvested.  Every individual will score an animal with variation.  Due to this factor, your guide has final say on the general score.  BOONE AND CROCKETT SCORES ARE BASED ON THE GROSS SCORE NOT THE NET SCORE.
  6. Hunters are required to sight-in their firearms on the rifle range in the presence of ranch personnel before hunting. A ranch guide can sight in your firearm upon request.
  7. A wounded animal is assumed dead, and as such, is counted as the hunter’s kill. A wounded animal is one that leaves behind evidence of being hit by the shooter. Ranch management’s determination is final.
  8. Recovery dogs are available through independent contractors for an additional fee to attempt to retrieve wounded animals.  THIS FEE MUST BE PAID UPON THE RECOVERY DOGS ARRIVAL (PRIOR TO THE DOGS BEING WORKED).
  9. Everyone’s safety and well being is our #1 goal and priority. Guns will remain unloaded until situated in blind. While in lodge guns will remain locked in individual lockers in gunroom.
  10. A non-refundable deposit is due at time of booking. Deposit amounts can be found on each individual hunt page. If deposits are not received within 14 days of booking, all reservations will be deemed to have lapsed.
  11. Trophy fees MUST be paid before leaving the ranch if you decide to upgrade.
  12. Arrangements for taxidermy and shipping as well as any miscellaneous charges MUST be paid before departure.
  13. We accept cash, check or credit card. A 3% fee will be added to all credit card charges.
  14. Some management units within the ranch will be closed when the buck harvest quota for that area is reached.  Deer are not harvested until they reach 5 ½ years of age or older unless your guide determines it is a harvestable deer for other reasons.  There are also deer in our pastures that are brude bucks, these deer are not for sale.
  15. Basic hunt fees do not include trophy fees, taxidermy, dog-assisted recovery of game, or gratuities for guides and cooks. Gratuities should be paid directly to Lonesome Coyote Ranch for distribution to the guides and staff. Valid Texas hunting license and Hunter Education Certificate are required before ANY hunts.
  16. We request you bring a good set of binoculars and camera. If you do not have binoculars, we can provide a set for you to use.
  17. South Texas weather can change frequently and varies during hunting season. We recommend you check the weather and pack accordingly. Bring a good pair of hunting boots, preferably snake proof and insulated. Camouflage gear is not necessary. But you can wear whatever you desire and what keeps you comfortable.
  18. You may not access the ranch grounds without being escorted by ranch personnel.
  19. Please do not leave the ranch premises without notifying ranch personnel.
  20. Do not operate ranch equipment.
  21. NO SMOKING in vehicles, in lodge or blinds.  If you do smoke, please do not dispose of cigarette butts on porch or grounds.
  22. Tanks for fishing are catch and release only.
  23. Harassment of any kind by Hunter of ranch personnel is strictly prohibited and will be treated as an urgent matter with termination of the hunt without refund.
  24. All ranch personnel reserve the right to immediately terminate a hunt in the event rules are violated by Hunter and will result in no refund of monies to Hunter.
  25. All guests must sign a liability release upon arrival at the Lonesome Coyote Ranch
  26. A valid Texas hunting license and hunter education certificate are required before any animal is harvested.
